    1. Your Name: Whats your name? What would you like to be called? How did you come up with your member-name?

My name is Rodney, you can call me Rod.
    2. Age: How old are you? How long have you been interested in WWII?

I'm 41 and I've been interested in WWII for as long as I can remember. My Dad would watch nothing but WWII movies and I often would spend time in the library just looking and reading books on WWII and warfare.
    3. Origins: Where are you from?

I'm from California, but my parents are from the Philippines.
    4. Specifics: What areas of WWII are you interested in? What would you like to know more about?

Recently , I've been really fascinated to learn more about WWII in the Philippines. I started writing a novel about WWII in the Philippines and I'm trying to do as much research as I can on the subject. Which even led me to start a Kickstarter to try and document the stories of the men and women who fought/lived in that era. https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/898400447/the-valor-project-world-war-ii-stories-from-the-ph
    5. Hobbies: What sort of Hobbies do you have? Are any related to World War II? Wargaming? Video-games? Memorabilia? Visiting historic sites?

I love reading about WWII, I play lots of PC games (currently BF4), and I've visited Corregidor, and Intramuros in the Philippines and really want to visit Bataan and Leyte.

    6. Other: What other time periods are you interested in? Specific eras? Why? Mainly just the Philippines, but I'd love to even hear the Japanese side of it.

    7. Miscellaneous: Anything else you'd like to share with us? I usually can't go a week or two without having a chocolate dipped ice cream cone from MckieDees

    Welcome Rod

The "liberation" of the Philippines is a complicated story -- at both the political and peoples level. I wish you luck in handling all sides with a measure of understanding.
