    Hi. I'm looking for photos or stories of the following:

    23rd Engineer Bn., 3rd Armored Division

    Battle in the falaise pocket

    My great uncle served in that unit and died in 1944 in the Pre en Pail area, France

    His name is Corp. Raymond C. Anderson

    Yes I went up through parts of it. Third British Infantry Division. "Monty's Ironsides" We were at the back of the pocket dealing with the SS idiots that fought as rear-guard.... And yes I have walked on dead Germans as they covered the road in places, and the stench was appalling...
