not to be rude but your question is somewhat vague.
are you interested in numbers of regiments?
    personnel ?
    structure of units?

fair warning : your best sources are going to be in Russian !
(often times an online translator can be helpful--does not work with every webpage.)

if you want a whole book dedicated to one regiment then I recommend :

    Dragons on bird wings
The Combat History of the 812th Fighter Air Regiment
by Vlad Antipov and Igor Utkin
    (english translation by James Gebhardt)
    ISBN 0-9780696-0-9
Aviaeology is an imprint of Skygrid-Kitchener Ontario

    :)

What I mean is that in a similar manner to how you can find many websites about lets say German Panzer Divisions, and then you click a few links to find an individual panzer division page with information about the commanders, unit history, combat served, etc of that division. So yes things like the book you referred are excellent, information about singular regiments.

and that would be an excellent place to go for specific questions to be answered.
(I am a member there if you want to look me up)

I get the impression he is looking to "open the flood gates" of knowledge in that area.
