My father David Driscoll manned a radio station on top of one of the pyramids. Has anybody any idea which one it was? He also served in Burma with the 82nd West African Division - has anyone any information on what they did?

    Hi

There's two war diaries covering 1944 and 1945 at the National Archives in London, nothing earlier jumping out from a quick search. Do you know what Signals unit he was with in Eygpt?

    WO 172/6615 82 West African Division Signals 1944 July-Dec
WO 172/9567 82 West African Division Signals 1945 Jan, Mar-Dec

    Cheers
    Andy

Hi Andy. I have only just picked up your reply! Probably the notification went into "Spam". Thank you very much for the information, which I will follow up. I knew it was before 1946 because he was in Burma with the 82nd West African Div. then.

    Regards
    Judy
