    Welcome.
We would all love to help you out. It is our favorite thing to do. I think we all like a mystery. That being said, we will need a little more to go on.
If you have any paper work or photos of him in uniform, please post them. His Army serial number and birthday would help. Plus the state he was in when he enlisted and the state he was discharged in.
Check with your relatives and see if they can provide some information, like old letters or post cards.
A lot of help here if you can get us started.
    Good luck
    Bob

Ive sent for his military record's and got a letter back saying his records were burned in a fire. He was from Dickinson alabama. His birthday was September 25 1922. Serial number 34-535-221 or it may be 34-585-221 it's hard to tell on the discharge papers. But I know he fought in Normandy and the battle of the bulge. And I have always heard he served under Patton. He also has a bronze star but I have know idea what for. My dad said he never talked about it.

I can't scan it because it's in a frame. But I took pictures of it and tried to post them but it said the file was to big.

Welcome to the forum. I checked the 67th roster without success. Chibobber is right, we can learn much more from his separation papers.

You can post it on a buffer site like image shack and then copy and paste it here. That should work fine

What does it say right behind "Battery A"? I can make out the Armored Field Artillery Battalion, just can't make out the number.

What does it say right behind "Bronze Star Medal GO 19 Hq ? Armd Div 45? Can't make out the Armored Division number, although it looks like an "8".

Did you take the photos on the "Macro" setting? That may help with clarity.

    I presume
General Order 19, Headquarters, 5th Armored Division, 1945.

So, you would have to track down the 5th Armored Division HQ's General Order 19 from 1945.

Thanks for all the help so far. Does anyone know how to track that down? And does that mean he was in the 5th armored?
