The 'anti-terrorism' industry is making billions and can afford to buy any politician it needs. With the tabloid press in tow it inflates the threat in order to make money. If I were a cynic I would say 'Muslim terrorists/freedom fighters' were originally formed/created/financed by neocons as a 'neat idea' to get at 'them thar commies' and make themselves rich but hey everyone knows that is a conspiracy theory too far ..................

It is illegal to use any hand held phone and drive at the same time. As for perspective, when you wake up, just take a look at Paris and Brussels.Stats are great but get out on the streets and feel the blast.

 

New York and Moscow fine just keep them away from the East Coast of England. But where ever theyland I hope people do not go to their deaths believing their leaders are thinking of them.

Here we call doing more than one thing at once multi tasking, i.e. doing a lot of things at the same time, badly.

In much of the US it is not. In much of the rest it is not enforced to any significant degree. Statistics indicate that it is right up there with alcohol with regards to traffic fatalities. In the US that means it's involved in about 10,000 fatalities a year. Even the hands free sets seam to be a major distraction although less of one than say texting on a hand held unit.

I seem to be much more cognizant of what is going on than you so your "wake up" and "sleep walking" comments are ill placed. Indeed they clearly apply more closely to your position than to mine.
