Well things take time in politics, decisions cannot be rushed. But not Adolf week, Austrian Government now looking to decide what to do about the house where he was born to stop it becoming a place of pilgrimage. Maybe expect a decision in another 75 years.

I was just reading an article regarding that topic. As much as I agree with the fact that they should remove it from existence, any Neo culture will journey to other more sinister locations to ideolize their moron.

Remember a number of years ago we did a holocaust tour which took in the memorial in Berlin and Hitler's bunker among much more over nearly 2 weeks of travel and there was mention then of discussions on what should be done with the bunker. But as mentioned above these knuckleheads will gather anywhere so short of obliterating history (or them) this will always be with us.

History is history. The good and the bad. Should we tear down the colosseum because people were killed there for sport? No. If destroying historical landmarks because they have negative connotations is acceptable, don't begrudge the Taliban or ISIS for doing the same. From their perspective it's same/same.

Let's face it, the sort of 21st century skinhead morons who think of themselves as neonazis would worship the empty lot after the house was pulled down so why waste the time and effort and bad publicity for closing the barn door 70 years too late?
