    Journalism today?

A Harley Biker is riding by the zoo in Washington DC when he sees a little girl leaning into the lion's cage. Suddenly, the lion grabs her by the collar of her jacket and tries to pull her inside to slaughter her, under the eyes of her screaming parents. The biker jumps off his Harley, runs to the cage and hits the lion square on the nose with a powerful punch. Whimpering from the pain the lion jumps back letting go of the girl, and the biker brings the girl to her terrified parents, who thank him endlessly.

A reporter has watched the whole event. The reporter addressing the Harley rider says, 'Sir, this was the most gallant and bravest thing I've seen a man do in my whole life. The Harley rider replies, 'Why, it was nothing, really. The lion was behind bars. I just saw this little kid in danger, and acted as I felt right.' The reporter says, 'Well, I'll make sure this won't go unnoticed. I'm a journalist, you know, and tomorrow's paper will have this story on the front page. So, what do you do for a living, and what political affiliation do you have?' The biker replies "I'm a U.S. Marine, a Republican and I voted for Trump".

The journalist leaves. The following morning the biker buys the paper to see if it indeed brings news of his actions, and reads, on the front page:

U.S. MARINE ASSAULTS AFRICAN IMMIGRANT & STEALS HIS LUNCH

They have power, but do not know how to use it.

I don't think Vladimir Putin is a current member of Trump's Team. They look to be in the midst of a BFF fight.

That question could only be asked In a country where David Letterman can make the observation that.America is the only country where a significant proportion of the population believes that professional wrestling is real but the moon landing was faked.

You mean Putin of Russia? The country with economy smaller than the economy of South Korea, or Canada, or Brazil, or Italy, or France?
US military expenditure is 50% of the entire GDP of Russia.
Apple has more expenses than the entire Russian military budget.
It is easier to believe the Jews rule the world, or the lizard people than the Russians.

A significant proportion of the American population believed that professional wrestling was real...In 1951.

Would you say that most, a few, or not any professional wrestling matches are fixed?
    Aug 26-31, 1951
    Most 17%
    A few 42
    Not any 24
    No opinion 17

Please note, that in 1951, all moon landings were faked.

Letterman's statement is not near as funny when you do a little research on it.

    Please, it's all fake news.
Farage is a highly successful politician, not a loser:

Farage was ranked second in The Daily Telegraph's Top 100 most influential right-wingers poll in October 2013, behind Prime Minister David Cameron. He was also named "Briton of the Year" by The Times in 2014.

On 12 September 2006, Farage was elected leader of UKIP with 45 per cent of the vote, 20 percentage points ahead of his nearest rival.

Farage stood again for the UKIP leadership in 2010 (having stood down the year before, to focus on his unsuccessful campaign in the Buckingham election) after his successor Lord Pearson had stood down, and on 5 November 2010 it was announced he had won the leadership contest.

In May 2014 Farage led the UKIP to win the EU Election with 4,376,635 votes, the first time a UK political party other than Labour or Conservatives had won a national election in over 100 years. Farage was returned as MEP for the South East region, a seat he has represented since 1999.

As an MEP Farage leads the Europe of Freedom and Direct Democracy grouping in the European Parliament

Farage had unsuccessfully contested British parliamentary elections for UKIP five times, both before and after his election as an MEP in 1999.

On 4 September 2009, Farage resigned as the UKIP's leader to focus on his campaign to become Member of Parliament for Buckingham at Westminster in the 2010 general election. He later told The Times journalist Camilla Long that UKIP internal fights took up far too much time.

In May 2013 Farage led UKIP to its best-ever performance in a UK election. The party received 23 per cent of the vote in the local elections, winning 147 council seats, and placing it only 2 points behind the governing Conservative party and 9 points ahead of the Liberal Democrats.

This video about him is worth watching:

    Yeah...You're probably right.

Fox and Breitbart use fiction writers for their new stories.

That's the problem when you get all your info from barking mad news outlets.

Farage has stood for election to Parliament 7 times in the UK.
    He has never won once.
H ehas won EU seats but no one really voted for a MEP. The turn out is always very low. In the scale of things being a MEP is just above being a manager at Macdonalds.

Here is the complete record of The Farage failures.

His legacy is UKIP. They are currently running at 12% in opinion polls.

They were recently humiliated when they failed to win a seat one of the strongest Brexit voting seat in the UK.
The current UKIP leader now has 5 election defeats under his belt. Paul Nuttall was also exposed as a liar when he claimed he was a former professional footballer (Lie 1) that he had a Phd (lie 2) and that he lost 'close personal friends at Hillsborough(Lie 3) The last is like someone in the USA saying he lost 'close personal friends' on 9/11) Seems like being a liar comes easily to UKIP Leadership
As a force in UK Politics Farage is an irrelevance. That is why he is spending his time sucking up to Trump-no one in the UK takes him seriously.

There you go again with your fake news. I know you want to believe but the facts prove you are delusional.

This is the current UK Local Councillor tally. See how 'successful' UKIP are:

UKIP have a miserable 2% of all Council seats !

I'll take that up with Dave.

I thought it captured the sadness of the paranoia that runs through the need to prove or disprove every word uttered by the media and politicians. Not wishing to feed that frenzy but are we sure there were no moon landings around that time? Remember not everything gets in to the media and not everything in the media is true.

That is the United Kingdom general election of 2015, he wasn't with them any more. This is about Farage, not about UKIP.
