I would like to add that the argument of "well we were all immigrants at one point" or something along those lines when speaking of letting numerous refugees in, is in my humble opinion misplaced. The reason being that the main and as far as I'm concerned the only real difference is the fact that these refugees are Muslim. Unlike Christianity (no matter what form) Islam is a completely different way of life. What is allowed in Islam is not allowed in Christianity and vice versa. Many refugees that are coming over in many cases (it seems) are simply unaware of European laws and culture. Women in Muslim countries are treated and viewed very differently than they are in Christian countries. Those coming into Europe don't see/know or seem to care about this.

Not too long ago I remember coming across an article where a 20 something refugee was arrested for molesting a little boy. Once in court he explained (or tried to) that it was a "sexual emergency".... In Afghanistan for example boys are dressed up as girls in certain areas/instances and are treated accordingly by the men because such relations with women is forbidden. This is simply inconceivable in Europe or any other Christion or civilized country around the world but not where this guy was from.

Those that follow the strict form of Islam (Sharia) will never conform to democracy... It simply doesn't work.

Well this is what really caught me off guard. In Afghanistan there is a tradition of young boys being picked out usually from very poor families with promises of being taken care off (in any which way)... These boys are then dressed in dresses, taught to sing and dance like girls and are put to work entertaining the men during a night of partying. Anything from singing and dancing to serving food and drinks for the guests; afterwards are given to highest bidder. All present are aware of what is happening and there are no misunderstandings of any sort between the parties. Guess it aint gay if they are wearing a dress. Describing this as completely bizarre, and disgusting would be an understatement.

The Afghan Penal Code does not refer to homosexual acts, but Article 130 of the Constitution allows recourse to be made to Sharia law, which prohibits same-sex sexual activity in general. Afghanistan’s Sharia law criminalizes same-sex sexual acts with a maximum of the death penalty. No known cases of death sentences have been meted out since the end of Taliban rule.
    Iran
In accordance with sharia law, homosexual intercourse between men can be punished by death, and men can be flogged for lesser acts such as kissing. Women may be flogged.
    Saudi Arabia
Under the country’s interpretation of sharia law, a married man engaging in sodomy or any non-Muslim who commits sodomy with a Muslim can be stoned to death. All sex outside of marriage is illegal.
    Yemen
According to 1994 penal code, married men can be sentenced to death by stoning for homosexual intercourse. Unmarried men face whipping or one year in prison. Women face up to seven years in prison.
    Pakistan
Death penalty laws exist but are unlikely to be implemented, according to the 2016 IGLA report.
    Qatar
Sharia law in Qatar applies only to Muslims, who can be put to death for extramarital sex, regardless of sexual orientation.
    Nigeria
Federal law classifies homosexual behavior as a felony punishable by imprisonment, but several states have adopted sharia law and imposed a death penalty for men. A law signed in early January makes it illegal for gay people countrywide to hold a meeting or form clubs.

    They say there:

he Act was introduced as a private member's bill by Member of Parliament (MP) David Bahati on 14 October 2009. A special motion to introduce the bill was passed a month after a two-day conference was held in which three Christians

It not a direct result of actions of Evangelical Christians, it's an indirect result of actions of three, unknown men.

Yes well if you want to ignore the point being made ( I.E Sharia Law does not apply to anyone who does not accept that it applies to them) then yes it is oppressive. Just as say the priesthood rule of no sex is oppressive.
I quite understand that to some their own religion is without fault whilst other peoples religion is Evil personified. I also understand that freedom to chose your way of life is only allowed by these same people when the choice conforms to their idea of what is right and what is wrong. Those kind of people will never get my point.
I should also remind the blinkered rabid Muslim-haters I have never supported Muslims over Christians. In my mind you are all as bad as each other and I am referring to Sharia as written and not the version being used as a straw man to taint all Muslims.

I do not live my life in a state of perpetual fear. I feel sorry for those always looking over their shoulder and in mortal fear of every stranger.

The usual argument of the bigots.
Any crime commited by a Muslim is to be blamed upon the entire Muslim Religion.
Any crime committed by a Christian has nothing at all to do with any Christian.

The sad thing is they will read that and wonder what point I am trying to make. Most will think I am just making an obvious statement of fact!

If its a crime done in the name of Islam...then you can blame the person and the religion, we shouldn't know the persons religion...many Christians commit crime, but you'd not know who from whom, because the crime DIDNT have anything to do with their religion.

The claim was the Ugandan "Kill the Gays bill" was a direct result of actions of Evangelical Christians from the USA.
The point is it wasn't a direct action because David Bahati was the prime mover there.
The three anonymous men just advised him.

And there are people who deny it ever happened, it's a single source story, written by a man who wasn't there, and it's a "suggestion" anyway:

Sharlet suggested that the bill came about as a result of Bahati's membership in the Christian group The Family. He revealed that Bahati reportedly first floated the idea of the bill (which at that time included the death penalty for homosexual assaults on minors, disabled people, or by knowingly HIV positive men) during The Family's Uganda National Prayer Breakfast in 2008. Bob Hunter, a member of The Family, gave an interview to NPR in December 2009 in which he acknowledged Bahati's connection but argued that no American associates support the bill. After news of the gay execution law broke, Bahati was dis-invited from the 2010 U.S. National Prayer Breakfast.

    Ali Hussain Sibat
A Lebanese national and former host of the popular call-in show that aired on satellite TV across the Middle East. On the show - described as "a Middle Eastern psychic hot line" by one source - he made predictions and gave advice to the audience.
He is perhaps most famous outside of Lebanon for his arrest in Saudi Arabia on charges of "sorcery" in May 2008 while traveling to perform the Umrah pilgrimage. Sibat was sentenced to death by beheading. Following pressure on the Saudi government by the Lebanese government and human rights groups, he was released by the Saudi Supreme Court.

Sharia doesn't make exceptions for anyone, even foreigners.

Looks like the problem has to hit Mr Kenny before he recognizes there is an issue (true for all lefty).
Ignore the thousands of rapes reported.
One precious evil rioter gets a baton up his arse, and they freak out. Maybe the baton wasn't issued on man love Thursday, also reported by a valued military member here previously.

That is correct. I do not go around believing my every minute might be my last. I do not need an arsenal military grade weapons to protect 'my family' because in my world loons waving guns get sent to either Jail or Mental Institutions. My neighbours are not armed to the teeth so a minor dispute over (say) their dog will not result in a fatal shooting.
I lived through the 70s-90s in the UK where we had a sustained campaign of terror by the IRA. That was the last time I was slightly worried about my family safety. I also saw how completely innocent people were convicted for no other reason than to placate public opinion that wanted someone to pay for the crimes. Entirely innocent Irish people were snatched from the streets and framed

I'm Canadian. We are a nation of law abiding and welcoming citizens. We have strict gun laws, yet there is an amazing amount of gun violence. Maybe criminals don't obey our law.
..Also looks like we are losing our ability to speak freely, which is very concerning (another topic)

Hate is such a strong word... Hearing a lot of hate towards Israel, but we can't talk about that. Or the oppression of women/gays, sharia.

Would bet MrK might feel differently if he lived in a French neighborhood under attack, or if his daughter was due to be mutilated, or married when she is 13.
France has some strict laws regarding freedom of speech now.
I'd consider what Skipper has to say...Maybe his life is not as effected as others there.

I have a lot of French people who I collaborate with on research. Not one has said he is under attack or had his daughter raped or mutilated. I am sure if it were common one would have mentioned it in passing. Where is this hell-hole you dread so much?
