News reports are just coming in of an 8.7 Richter magnitude earthquake 600 miles off Sumatra.
Please Lord, not another "Boxing Day" disaster.

The BBC said this morning that there doesn't seem to be any chance of a Tsunami. but that rubble from buildings damaged by the previous event have fallen and killed many people.

The panic it caused was rather massive though. I'm glad to hear it passed with "only" a heavy earthquake this time.

At least it is a lot less of a death toll than last year. But even then, 2000 dead is 2000 too many dead.
