This is one I cannot possibly choose who is the bravest--they all were very brave. This would be like me choosing one of my 1914 Iron Crosses over another, as they symbolize the same thing and its just too close of a deal for it to be something proper to do.

Sorry about sounding like a jerk. This would also be akin to choosing one VVictoria Cross Reciepiant over another or Knights Cross Recipient over another--tho I COULD choose one of them over another if I got to choose who the choices were to be--for instance: If I had Hermann Goring and Remy Schrijnen---Remy definately would be my choice. Now if I had Remy Schrijnen, Erich Hartmann and Wolfgang Luth to choose from, it would be impossible for me to do so as I feel for these guys as I do for our Medal of Honor Recipients. :D

    Oh Yes Albert.....
Red Erwin was a B-29 bombardier-long story short-a WP bomb struck him in the face and was burning him to no end but he still picked up the bomb and got it out of the plane-thus saving the lives of all his fellow crewmen.

Lewis Millett led a bayonet and grenade attack on an enemy hill, and exposed himself to enemy fire-taking many wounds-but still carried on to teh objective.

Randy Shughart/Gary Gordon were Delta Force snipers in Somalia who were killed after they volunteered to protect the life of a pilot that had been shot down.

I too, think it would be too hard to choose just one of them as "the bravest".

    It's like trying to choose between a P-51D and a P-51H!!!

oh hey i'm familiar with those stories...
I put my vote for Red Erwin.
I read that story in my MoH book...phew...that was rough.
It was a tough choice for me between him and the two snipers.

Kiwi Ace-no Red Erwin survived-albeit-very badly burnt, and died January 16, 2002.

I had to choose Red Erwin....sorry Gordy and Randy....you are still "the boys"....

Yep, gotta agree with red. I can't believe he could even function under all of that pain. Plus, he saved alot of lives.

I agree with Carl here. You can't choose. The three of them were extremely brave.
