paris Gun

    What happened to the paris gun. One of the great mysteries of WW1

    probably the germans scrap them to avoid their capture by the allies, still it was a part failure and part succes, failure cos did not do a thing for the war, and succes for the technical aspect

    I been researching it for sometime and many sources say the 3rd was blown up when a sheel too large was loaded into it.

    From what I know, in all 4 of them were build, and 3 used against Paris.

    All 4 were destroyed near the end of the war at the Krupp factory in Essen, to avoid them falling into allied hands.
    Equally most documents concerning them were also destroyed.
