In North Africa after 1942 the British were generally very confident that they had superior AT firepower because they could field large amounts of 6pdr guns whereas the main German AT gun in the DAK was the 50mm. This indicates that the 6pdr was considered (and in fact was) quite superior to the German 50mm gun.
