    AWESOME !

This movie makes me cry and it reminds me, that these two wars were totaly senseless and unnecessary. How had those poor creatures to suffer just because of stupid politians, try to imagine what would have happend if we would live 95 years ago, I would wear a german uniform, castlelot would wear a french uniform, Simon a english one and we would try to kill eachother, isn´t that mad ??

We should damn it and remember those husbands, uncles, brothers

I really have to be the pedant here. World War I cannot be blamed entirely on faceless evil politicians. The populations of the five major countries involved in this war threw themselves into it with unseen vigour, willing to kill and die for their respective fatherlands in such astounding numbers that enrollment stations practically drowned in them. Similarly, if you and Simon and Castelot had lived in those days you might have looked at it quite differently.

Of course, this all changed once those poor deluded souls found themselves in the trenches...

For once in a very long time,i have to agree with Roel. There were already events building up to the First war.The Morrocan crisis and the affairs of the Balkans.Of course these are the work of the politicians. But then again, the population themselves were so nationalistic, especially the Germans for "a place in the sun",that war was welcomed. The French in particular wanted Alsace-lorraine back.So while a majority of the fault should lie rightly with the politicians,i think the population should bear a significant responsibility too.

And by the way Che,if we were all in the time of the Great war,i would be a normal chinese immigrant living in Singapore with british colonial masters...and would probably witness the sinking of the Emden.

We could move all Christians to your country and all the others to mine, but that would make my country a bit of a mess... Besides, I'd just start crusading against you in due course. ;)

That's true. And i might start converting your people after all.And there'll be neverending crusades...which will be fun since we will have an almost abundant supply of cannon fodder to test our military tactics.Reminds me much of the Imperial Guard in Warhammer 40k though...haha
