I bought, admittedly in a sale !, a PC combat sim CDROM for my nephew over Christmas. The salesman told me it was the latest of its type, but guessing from my nephew's response I think that I had been conned by the salesman. Does anybody know of a more up to date, cutting edge WW2 combat sim CDROM that I can get my nephew for his birthday in February ?

That is a 2002 game, AFAIK. It is not a bad game, though...

    Presumably it's Il-2 Forgotten Battles or a clone-thereof?? A flight sim?
I quite enjoyed Microsoft Combat Flight Sim - there's three versions out (strangely: CFS1, 2 and 3) and there's a ton of add-on aircraft floating about on the net, private efforts (but excellent quality - I usually rack my kills up in an MB.5 or de Havilland Hornet (sometimes TSR.2 or F.6 Lightning when I'm feeling vicious :kill: )), and most are free.

Is the MB5 you refer to the Martin Baker single engined WW2 fighter ?
Can you point me towards the source of the download for it, please ?
And the source for the DH Hornet, also ?
    Thanks,
    Ted

In order: yes, sorry no and sorry again no.
I have no idea where I found the downloads, it was pure accident. But I do have both of them (zipped and unzipped) on my hard drive. Unfortunately my PC died on Christmas eve (PSU I think/ hope) but as soon as I get it working again I'll PM you for your email address and then send both.
If I come across the site in the meantime I post the link.
