    It's probably from the 30's

The germans used cars made up as tanks during their training whilst real tanks were still being designed and made.

The joke was during early 1940 that the germans were going to invade france with cardboard tanks. oh how the germans laughed about that one

just remember that they could not make of posses tanks according to the terms imposed by the allies after ww1
as a curious note, during the 30 the american army also practised with "filed covertions truck" tanks for their exersises

Yep, the US Army used cargo trucks with TANK painted on them. They also had wooden machine guns and pipe mortars.

    its a "panzerkraftwagen-nachbildung" on "opel-kastenwagen-fahrgestel" type 1396 (from 1935)

It was used in training. The car base i don't know apart that it was a type 1396 from Opel whatever that means.... they were build on purpose BTW.

possibly this one: http://www.autogallery.org.ru/opelp4.htm has a "kastenwagen" variant wit 1.3l engine

Im' sure other countries used stuff like this in training (to me this looks a better option for tactical training than using old mkVIII tanks), but i'm sure only Germans could have made up its designation...
...i wonder how the thing was referred to in spoken language ?

oh, and the mg 34 in the turret was real ...so the thing was not enteirly fake
