no and its not to take our guns, its the queen shes in America. From the crowds that went out to see her she still is popular in America. just wondering if anyone is going to see her. I live in Iowa and cant afford the trip.
Queen Elizabeth II? The monarch or the ship? I wouldn't worry about it too much Revere, I live about 50 miles away from London and I've never seen her in person either. (Given your user name, I wouldn't have thought you'd be too keen on the British coming anyway! )
Interesting side note. Mr Revere never actually said "the British are coming" because if he had, it would have confused the locals who would have pointed out to him that "we are the British"., as the vast majority of colonists at that point still considered themselves British. What he actually said was "the regulars are coming"
She has been to my church... but quite a few years before I was there. My aunt has met the queen - she used to teach at Gordonstoun school and has taught several royals.
'Lizzie' occasionally makes visits to Australia too... I've never seen her, myself but once, during one such visit, I saw a royal glove waving from a black tinted limousine window... Could've been anyone really,
It was me! I remember it well. I said to my chauffere, as I glanced to my right... " Gosh, look at that smeghead over there!"
The Queen was at the Kentucky Derby yesterday... sippin' mint-julips I expect. Three-cheers for the Queen! I picked 3 horses, and none of those nags finished in the top-5. Great day for a horse-race though. The winning jockey was a cajun-boy from Lousiana, and he was so excited! You could just tell it was the biggest-day of his life. Tim
heres a better question has anyone actually seen the queen? my mum did when she was in Canada and the queen was touring a hospital. of course the queen visits Canada more then the us
That's to be expected. We thumbed our noses at her great-great grandpaw and Canada received all the Tories that decided they didn't want to live with us Rebels. Probably has a lot to do with why we are not part of the Commonwealth of Nations.
Here is some questions for you British aviation folks. What is the UK's equilvelent to the USA's Air Force One and Marine One? Does the Queen use it or does the PM use it?
