Amazing how much firepower you have in a .45 M1911A1 pistol, isn't it?

Hochsteader was actually a Gestapo major, not a general. And yes, I'd say he likely got it in the neck after the war. But Klink? Please! He was the most effective weapon in Hogan's arsenal. ;)

    Actually, I couldn't agree more...
Whoops, I was thinking of General Burkhalter wasn't I?
    "Klink... you IDIOT!"
    :D

I'll bet Col Hogan smuggled Hilda back to the 'States after their liberation.

    I would, too! ;)

Interestingly enough, the actress who played Hilda for most of the series, Sigrid Valdis, was actually married to Bob Crane at the time.

Another interesting fact is that both Werner Klemperer (Col. Klink) and John Banner (Sgt. Schultz) were German Jews who had to flee Germany because of the Nazis. Klemperer did not initially want to play the part, but finally agreed to do it on one condition: that Klink was NEVER to win any of his battles with Hogan and his men. He vowed that he would quit the day Klink came out on top. And Klink never did.
