Russian submarine SC-305 found near coast of Sweden

Sc-305 which was rammed by Finnish submarine Vetehinen in november 1942 was found at 136 meters deep at coast of Sweden.

I think they should investigate to see if any remains might be recoverable. If not, then its exact location should remain a mystery. Leave those brave men entombed where they fell, with their comrades.

Agreed. Let the crew rest in peace.

 

Considering other wreacks in the Baltic the crew of the Sch-305 is definitly entombed in the ship. I hope that the wreack will be proclaimed as war grave and not disturbed.

Sch-305 "Lin" laid down in november of 1932 under designated name "Militant atheist". Slided down on 31.12.1933, taken over by VMF and into the KBF (baltic fleet) on 19.07.1935. Sunk on 05.11.1942 by ramming by finnish submarine "Vetehinen"
