That postcard is a rare historical document too Kai. I never knew Oessau was from Dresden. Love the generals too, I've seen similar cards before.

Any info about the item. I see it's related to Reichsluftschutzbund.

Original plaque indeed. I can imagine those were removed in 1945 and thrown inot the rumble Not many must have survived.

Here's one of the latest additions to my collection, a nicely marked WW2 German Luftschutz gasmask and canister. The mask is clearly ink stamped and is the type that completely covers the head to hold it in position. The canister is also marked with what appears to be the supplier.

The mask also has a very clear Waffenamt 533 acceptance stamp on the inside. This indicates that it was made by Dräger at their plant in Lübeck.

The factory is still there and still produces filtration equipment and gasmasks!

I like those cans too because the design has the old fashioned WW1 look . Nice find.

Here's another recent addition to my collection. It's a late war M42 helmet that has the manufacturers mark CKL which shows it was produced by Eisenhüttenwerk AG of Thale.

The Hitler Youth emblem on the side of the helmet has been meticulously painted on and the shell is a size 62 and (without removing it to check) the liner will either be a size 54 or 55cm. Both sizes are a good indication that the helmet was probably used by a youngster, possibly a flak helper?

That one looks nice. It could possibly a late ware use.

The shell markings indicate that it was produced after the first part of 1944 so yes it is late war.
