So the last 2 nights I've watched a film and a 4-part series of WW2 related stuff. The first was the 4-part series called 'The Dawns Here are Quiet" The Dawns Here Are Quiet - Wikipedia I watched the 2015 version, not the 1972 movie. Its a Russian make with English Subtitles. A decently portrayed/told story though how much is actual truth is always questionable. I found it quite by accident on Amazon Prime video on my PS4. Last night, I watched El Alamein - La linea del fuoco - El Alamein: The Line of Fire - Wikipedia - which I also found by accident. An Italian movie, about an Italian unit at El Alamein. Englush subtitles of course. Not quite the same production as the Russian series I watched, the rifle firing sounds were extremely poor as was the major battle scene towards the end. Otherwise, tells an interesting story of the desperation of the Italian forces, lack of supplies etc, and the confusion during the Mass retreat.
