I have like three different models of the panzer two in 144 scale and none are correct. I was surfing the web about what German tanks were still around and found an article about a panzer two being restored at a museum and the writer was disappointed that they were not restoring it to original state. He mentions they had to replace the fenders and used flat plate metal which is wrong. Said that a company in Germany massed produced a plate metal for industrial use it was a type of tread plate. This was cheap and readily produced so they used it for the fenders. I got some train scale diamond plate couldn't find any tread plate at the time but a lot of new brass etched products have come out since then. Pit road recently put out a German vehicle set, panzer II, kubelwagen, a heavy troop truck, a 250 and 251 half track all look great. The panzer ii has the right fenders with the tread plate so of course it's on my wish list, lol. Tried to see what French wwii planes and tanks were available just resin or 3D printed tanks and some resin or die cast planes. Very few aircraft mostly bombers and a few fighters mostly the ms406 and the d520. Thinking I'd like to get the ms406 and rework it into the Finnish mm406 as the changes look very minor everything from the front of the cockpit to the tail look pretty much identical, the shape of the bottom of the nose and the airscoop looks a bit different but that shouldn't be a problem, just finding a model will be the biggie as most are not commonly found in local hobby shops or in stock online.
