    This guy that does Sidetrack Adventures on YouTube has a number of videos on US military bases and activities in WW 2 in the Southwestern US. Here's a sample:





    I'll post up some more.

    This is another of the MX 606 GAPA test site Boeing established in 1945 to develop a surface-to-air missile for the USAAF.

    He shows the WW 2 guard post for this rail line deemed vital to US national security at about 19 minutes in. Imagine being stuck with a few other soldiers in the proverbial Middle of Nowhere guarding it.

    The US Govt. can confine me there for a week and I'd be OK with that. Do I get a ride on the stagecoach and test the thoroughbraces? Mark Twain wrote about them breaking in his book, Roughing It.
