Last night I watched "The Devil's Advocate" with Keanu Reeves and Al Pacino, and a little while ago I just watched "Walking Tall" with The Rock and Johnny Knoxville. They were ok, nothing to write home about or to watch again. Ever.

Hi Kai, is it worth getting on DvD?

Also, watched some more Three Stooges shorts this morning on AMc as part of their day long marathon for April 1st (aka) April Fools Day. ;-))

Will be watching: A Tale of Two Garys. That is, thanks to WalMart forcing me to walk into one of their stores today and to saunter my way to the Electronics Dept, and then especially the racks with all the DvDs on them, I will be enjoying my two newest purchases which have a man named Gary-as its main Star-or one of the movies main stars. These classics are: High Noon mit Gary Cooper-and Lloyd Bridges, and Mysterious Island mit Gary Merrill. In Merrills film, the SX are done by SX master: Ray Harryhausen. Ill be feasting my eyes on these two classics before the end of this weekend ;-)) The only one im missing that was for sale at WM but they were out of is: Clash of the Titans. I have never seen that movie and always wanted to. I almost bought a copy of it about a week or so ago but didnt have enough on me to do so, so I go back and the damned movie is sold out-errrrrrrrrr.

"Hey you bastards I'm still here."

    What a classic line.

Ill be finally feasting my eyes on another Ray Harryhausen classic: Clash of the Titans. I just watched and greatly enjoyed: Mysterious Island with Gary Merrill, Herbert Lom and a Brit favo of mine-Percy Herbert. Rercy was the Confederate Sergeant they took along as he knew how to fly a Balloon.

Next on my to see list will be that: Clash of the Titans-and probably tonight now that the computer is toast.

I have been watching Hard Boiled. John Woo is one of the best film directors imho. I also watched A yank in the R.A.F. The aerial footage is excellent.

I agree - great flick, that.

Last night, I watched "Hell is For Heroes" - Steve McQueen, James Coburn, Fess Parker, Bobby Darin, Nick Adams, Harry Guardino.....

.... and, introducing...... Bob Newhart, as Driscoll!!

Newhart, doing his famous, one-sided telephone conversation shtick on a field telephone to company HQ..... priceless!!

    -whatever

Okay this is totally way off topic and has absolutely nothing to do with WW2 or TV but I just saw for the first time and I'm now "watching" the Aurora Borealis. Awesome site and beats the He-- out of anything on the 'boob-tube'. Just wanted to share that.

Last night I watched Hugo Pool. A horrible movie, but I grabbed it because of Alyssa Milano, she's gorgeous, but not a good film.

I watched "The War" from the Ken Burns collection. This episode was titled "Fubar" and covered the time from December 43 to December 44. The next episode should be in in a couple of weeks. I didn't get to see the series when it ran originally in 2007, but Netflix has saved the day again!

Hi Richard, actually I now have several classics that Ray Harryhausen had his mitts in. Some are: It Came from Beneath the Sea, Earth vs the Flying Saucers, Clash of the Titans and, The Seventh Voyage of Sinbad. Oh and I forgot: Mysterious Island which has Gary Merrill in it as well as Percy Herbert-and get this: Herbert is a Sergeant in the Confederate Army and does a pretty good job of it ;-)) Herbert Lom is also in this classic as Captain Nemo. The only persons really missing from this movie with the bits w/ Nemo are: Kirk Douglas and James Mason and whats-his-face? I never can remember his name but he was the bulge-eyed short in stature but not in talent-actor from Eastern Europe. I think I may have another movie or two with his hands on them but cant remember the titles just now. ;-))

It stars Mark Harmon (You folks might recognize him as Leroy Jethro Gibbs on NCIS), Christopher Lee, Frank Gorshin (He played "The Riddler" on the 60's "Batman" series) and Tarawa vet Eddie Albert.

I remember Goliath Awaits and it was a pretty good flick.

Last night i feasted my eyes on two Pirate flicks on TCM. The Spanish Main w/ Maureen O'Hara and Captain morgan w/ Steve Reeves. Both were enjoyable and the Steve Reeves movie was actually decently made.

Settling in to watch H.G.Wells "War of The Worlds". Actually it's the third or fourth remake (2005 edition). Just caught the end of another "alien" movie that had Lou Diamond Phillips in it. He makes Tommy Cruise almost look like an actor
