I don't know, Spielberg always does an amazing job with everything he touches and Eastwood might just make out alright with this one. Let's hope your right Mannerheim.

This is outstanding news. Flags of Our Fathers should make for a fine movie in the hands of Spielberg and Eastwood. It is good to see that the story of the Marines and sailors of Iwo Jima will be competently told on the big screen.

I've been telling everyone about it, I'm definetly going to be looking forward to this. I actually have been questioning when another good WWII movie is going to come out and Spielberg doing the Pacific and giving credit where credit is do! ;) :D

I thought i had heard somewhere a few months back that Hanks and Speilburg were also doing a mini-series on the Pacific (BoB Style)

But I wonder if this is it.

Correct that has been announced for 2006.
    Its called: 'The Pacific War'

Plot Outline: A 10-part mini-series from the creators of "Band of Brothers" telling stories of America's battle with the Japanese in the Pacific during World War II.
