I personally don't enjoy watching A Thin Red Line. You're actually one of the very few here who like the film. Still, if this film is viewed in the context you mentioned, well it might work.

I agree with "Battle of the Bulge" and "U571" Two actors that I like are Clint Eastwood and John Wayne. But I hated Fighting Seabees and Kelly's Heros. The Fighting Seabees is just way to corny for me. Kelly's Heros is just to silly for my liking. I know I will probably take some licks here, just my personal opinion.

Obviously none of you people has seen "Carter's Army" before. It was one of those blacksploitation films of the 70s, and it was pathetic. Not to spoil it for anyone who dashes out to obtain this piece of crap, but keep a barf bag handy. This has to be just about the worst WW2 movie ever made. It was sooooo baaaaaad.....

I found a movie called Air Force recently. The movie depicts a B-17 crew in the group that flew into Pearl Harbor during the attack. The next morning they get orders to fly to the Phillipines, and they do that-non stop.

After a bombing strike they get ordrs to fly back to Pearl. After taking off, they get shot up and they crash land on some desert island. Despite the fact that the plane is mangled, and Japanese are landing on the island, they rebuild the plane in a matter of days, then they dodge enemy fire to take off and fly back to pearl.

I found Thirty Seconds Over Tokyo, also recently. It's based on the hit book. The only real problem I have with the movie is that he loves his wife, and she loves him, and he loves her and she loves him, and he loves her ad nauseum, ad nauseum, ad nauseum.

The training scenes, the carrier scenes, and the scenes in China are well done.

the trench is such a bad movie it is a wwI movie but it doesent matter because I actually think that this is the worst movie ever made. its got no big actors, every 4th or 5th word is F#ck, the british characters somtimes seem like they are speaking a different language with the speed they say stuff. if you go on you tube you can watch one of the best parts just copy and paste The Trench sniper scene (go to the first video) and for the people who want to see the great battle sceen at the end go to you tube and copy and paste the trench the 'over the top' bit from the film the trench if you happen to wonder if this video showed the very end of the movie it did and it was the main charcter getting shot. After that they show some wrighting that says 60 000 allied soldiers died or somthing like that.

Yes, that was lame. Tom Selleck was a poor choice for Ike.

Quite a few of you guys have been mentioning Pearl Harbor was terrible but the action scenes were not bad.

Well, I can shoot down the "action scenes were not bad theory" - Here it is: During the actual attack on Pearl Harbor scenes if you look closely you will see modern active duty warships from the USN! Talk about missing the proverbial boat on accuracy and realism!

I have to stick up for this movie

That movie is Classic!!!..........it even won an Oscar in the "Best Editing" category in 1945. It has a lot of the same cast as "Sgt. York"

I am also going to stick up for "Fighting Sea Bees" and "Kelly's Heroes" and I am going to concur that Wal Mart SUCKS!!!

I will add "Bridge at Remagen" to the turd list though.................horrible!!!
And I will add "The Big Red One" It could have been done better. Mark Hammil is a whiney B*tch.

My vote is for Pearl Harbor. I try to discourage my son from watching it, but when he does I tell him that this is the Hollywood version.

Battle of the Bulge, when the American Armor is sacrificed to slow down the German advance on purpose (never happened). And then that "sacrifice" is shot in a desert scrub region with sage brush...well nuff said.
