    UK TV Sunday 19 November. Channel 5. 4.50pm - 8.00pm 'A Bridge Too Far'

    World War Two adventure. In 1944 Allied forces devise a plane to cut short the war with an audacious airborne assault intended to capture six crucial Dutch bridges.

    Worth watching?

    I've never seen the whole movie but what i did see I enjoyed, it stars Sean Connery and Anthony Hopkins (SP?). Everything I saw apeared accurate [​IMG]

    Although it has faults, some of the scenes are superb, the overall story is reasonably accurate, and it was the last movie war epic until 'SPR'. As always, though, it's much better on the big screen than the little box, especially when TV ads are involved.... [​IMG]

    I've always enjoyed this movie even if a tad bit long-winded. The opening British artillery barrage was very welldone.
