    Great PIC!

Nice to see a natural reenactment shot like that.

The goggles, are they prescription? Or are you(?)going for a motorcycle impression.

Very nice, this may sound odd but I like the mud as well, most of our battles seem to be in rather over friendly terrain.

One thing I have never understood is why Landser carried their Zeltbahns on the d-rings of the y-straps, I can't bear to have it so high, maybe because I am short but all the same. Then again I seem to be one of the few who likes carrying food and ammo on an a-frame...

    Stefan,

I think the reason some landser wear the zelt on the Y-strap D rings is beacause wearing it on the breadbag/belt gets tough on the kidneys if you're riding in a vehicle. Our unit is blessed with the ability to have wheeled or tracked transportation and to have it on the belt/breadbag really gives the kidney's a shock. Unless you've got an a-frame or rucksack there's really not many other ways to wear the zelt.

Ahh, genius, thanks for that. I didn't think about it that way, though I get the impression all germn kit is designed to batter the kidneys, gas mask tins, water bottles, anything and everything that can bounce up and hit you will. It does take quite a while to get kit so it is comfortable, I must have spent a fair amount of cash experimenting with various pieces of kit and configurations.

You don't know how lucky you are to have proper motorised kit, we have one half track that we can hardly ever get to an event. Blooming annoying.

That's not me. I'm the FG in the foreground. The Goggled individual owns a Puch motorcycle, and is also one of our "rated" drivers for our SPWs and whatnot. They give me a hard time, because I myself have a goggle fetish, and have been known to wear them quite often.

Since we're motorized recon (latewar) we have a tendency to break them out a good deal.

Thats great because I got a question to ask you (on behalf of my friend whom I forwarded the photo to):

I'm certainly no expert and would not even have spotted that myself, but do you have any comments?

The reason Adam has on pink Waffenfarbe is because the unit he is in is the 125th Panzeraufklarung Abteilung. We represent this unit during the 1943 (late) to 1945. Our unit chose to disregard the last order that stated our waffenfarbe needed to go back to yellow as many Panzeraufklarung units historically did.

Adam is an acting Felgendarm for this event, and probably should also have an armband on as well noting that he is either a Hilfsgendarmerie or Feldgendarmerie. He is also missing his traffic wand and whistle. His Feldgendarm impression for this event was completely ersatz and on the spot, therefore it is not 100% correct.

I hope this answers some of your questions.

Thanks for that, I'm no uniform Nazi neither is my mate but he was just curious.

I know how it feels though, you post a great pic and 10 people jump on your a*s for being "Farby","cheap","amateurish" etc. I Hate these kind of people with a vengence  and tend to ignore them.

Let me just say that your impression is wonderful and I wish mine was half as good
