    Hello-
Anyone with a preference for a particular kit when it comes to 1/35 Tiger tanks? I'm considering building one; $$$ is no object..........

I am reletively new to modelling, but my first model was a Tamiya 1/35 Tiger I Mid Production, their newest kit. It was an absolute joy to put together! All the pieces fit perfectly and no super-detailing was required because most all their its come with the amenities.

Im modeled Zimmerit using R&J Products 'Zim it Rite', thats another must if you want to go for the utmost historical accuracy.

It may be pricy, I recall paying somewhere in the $50-60 range, but its well worth it [IMG]

Thanks, Rags - I'm off to check that out at the hobby shop tomorrow morning. I'm still on the fence as to what the particular paint scheme will be. First I have to tune my problematic airbrush.

Hi, my favourite tiger model is the academy early tiger (the one with interior) Here in holland it's a lot (12$) cheaper than the one from tamiya that hasn't got a interior.
    Both models are excelent

Here's one I thought I'd *bump* up from the Forum archives.

A heck of a lot of Tiger models have been introduced since this thread was last aired - the modelshops seem to be full of I's and II's.

Tigers are always popular - what do our resident experts think about the latest offerings ?

Martin depends on the version and variant. For Tiger I's, Tamiya's offering are probably the best. You can even get one which represents Otto Carius Tiger. As for the Tiger II, Dragons recent offering are supposed to be good but then again Tamiya's are probably still the best imho.
