Thanks to T. A. Gardner for answering my question from a prior post. Can anyone tell me where I can find more information on this unit? I've tried all kinds of internet searches to no avail. BTW, great forum. 16th Field Artillery Observation Battalion This unit was activated at Fort Bragg NC on 15 June 1942 and disbanded at Fort Kilmer NJ 24 Oct 45. It served exclusively in Europe arriving in France on 19 Aug 44. It served with 9th Army during that period.

DB, I left a message with the contact for the 16th Assn. but never heard back. Called the newspaper and talked to the owner and he was talking about working out something with a company to publish online archives. I've been out of town lately on business and I need to follow up with both of them. I'm still going to try to dig more up. and will post it if I find anything. If anyone has any other ideas, I'm open for suggestions.
