Hi. Since everyone was so helpful with my dad's papers, I was wondering if anyone knew of a way to find out what happened to someone who was killed in action if there are no records because of that fire in 1973.

My dad's brother Fred Gulik was killed at Kwajalein Island on Feb 2, 1944. He was awarded a Bronze Star and Purple Heart. I often wonder what the Bronze Star was for....he was in the 184th Infantry, 7th Infantry Division, Company "I", I think. I have a letter he wrote that was postmarked San Francisco, but no year.

    Thanks,
    Michelle
