Looking for additional info on this raid. Chorley and Middlebrook do not agree as to how many bombers were lost this night on multiple raids.

2 at least claimed by German night fighters in chorley's work. One shot down and crashed at Hollage west of Wallenhorst. How far is this from Eindhoven ? This particular a/c was a Mossie VI. interesting as no German nf's made a claim for mossies this night. 9 claims made by German nf's, 6 of them by Hauptmann Raht of Stab I./NJG 2 and incredible pilot with a very able fünker, friend Anton Heinemann, also a RK winner......

    E about ready to ZZZZzzzzzzzzzz......

    Hi Erich,

Nothing in En Toen Was Het Stil on losses/claim for this night. They only mention a mossie that shoots down a Bf110 of stab. II/NJG1 near Emmerich. Nothing came down in Holland as far as this book tells me.

Hollage/Wallenhorst is just north, northwest of Osnabrueck. Nowhere close to Eindoven. We are talking 150+ Km distance.

weird huh ? interesting now for more research. The info on Raht that I have is so brief and does not even give the type of RAF a/c shot down. All I have is that he shot down 3 on the 7th and three on the early hours on the 8th of the same mission. Gather he used Schräg waffen in his Ju 88G-6 4R+AB.......oh Martin, anything your way ?
