Leia used a Luger with an extra long barrel Storm troopers a British submachine gun (sterling?) with assorted extra bits. Han Solo looked like he was using a Mauser with again assorted extras. I came across a web site that suggested that some of the guns beging used to be the rebels on Hoth were maxim types. Bit dubious about that last one.
