Does anyone have a picture of MP`s insignia badge for 1945 in Italy.I`m told that it`s crossing rifles not pistols. When I look it up all I can find is crossing pistols and like I said some old timers said they had crossing rifles and an MP on their helmets

I'm no expert, but it seems unlikely. Crossed rifles signified the infantry. I can't imagine why there would be a time when an MP wore that unless there was some kind of temporary duty. I haven't been able to locate anyplace that says that, though.
