I got a few more pieces of Militaria tonight, An Employees Pass for the launching ceremonies for the USS ATTU naval ship. Which was christened on May 27, 1944. Also included was a photo album containing 50 pictures taken on the Island of Attu during WWII. I found the listing on eBay and got both items for $30.22 shipped. Once I get the album, I will scan and post the pictures here.
I got the album in the mail today. I'm pretty happy with it. There are some interesting pictures. A few of them are definitely men my grandpa served with. One of them is a 78th Coast Artillery soldier the "We Sweep the Sky" pin can be seen. The other is captioned 591st. Let me know what you think.
