Well, only last part of it is WW1 comedy. I watched it when they aired it here. And then I watched it again when they rerun it. For some strange reason I didn't tape it, not even the rerun.
Luckily there is DVD-box out there and *cough* dctv *cough*

I liked most that last season, WW1 -part.

Theyve been talking about making a fifth series more or less since the 4th series finished, I wouldn't hold your breath  . They also did a Blackadder's Christmas Carol, which was alright except for the Ghost of Christmas Future that was set in a sort of Sci-fi type of period. It didn't work all that well.

Every once in while they mention making a film, the usual excuse for dropping that one is the difficulty getting all the actors together again.

I think a film is not a good idea. Sitcoms never translate into good films.
As for a 5th series, I really hope not, the 4th was stale & pretty lame compared to the excellent quality maintained by the first three.
However it's a lot funnier than a lot of stuff about nowerdays. Progs like The Office & Little Britain are certainly very popular, but don't do it for me. I prefer Catterick & Phoenix nights.

The first Blackadder was not as good...
My favourite is the Elizabethan Blackadder, personally. I think they have got the character of Elizabeth I down to perfection!

Conversely, the first series was my favourite.

I like all of the Blackadders, But the second series is the best. I like Lord Melchett. He's such a creep!

i agree with earlier posts the first series was a bit dodgy!

but all the rest are excellent dont matter how many times you see them...you cant help laughing each and everytime.

i dont collect box set dvds etc but if i were to start this would be near the top of my list!
