Hi to you all!!!Somebody knows the release date for pc version of the third capitol of this saga? Thank you so much. Alex.
I have bought it, but i need a new computer:headbash: I need a new computer for these games: Call Of Duty:World At War Brothers In Arms: Hells Highway Medal Of Honor Airborne(When i buy it) Grand Theft Auto 4 (IF i buy it).
Collector, save your money, Medal of Honor: Airborne is not worth it. The first maps are pretty fun but then SS-soldiers with dual MG42s steps out and survives two clips or magazines to the head, it's not so fun anymore. And there is NO story whatsoever. But BIA: HH is good, a very good story and some nice gameplay.
Except for the fact that once you run it a room behind one of your men all the germans stop what they are doing and shot at you. Something that really annoys me is when they shoot you dead and they can see that you are dead but they keep shooting at you on the ground and even throwing grenades.
The Brothers in Arms focusing more one unit which COD is your normal shooter game with no real story just pretty effects.
BIA is more story driven and done well IMO. COD is done very well all around... Nah, come on, you have to admit the first one Allied Assault was good for it's time.
Allied assault got me started on video games, so it holds a place in my heart. As for the others...*shake head* Only Pacific Assault was anything close to satisfactory CoD, run and gun sort of game, another version of MoH except much better made. You are a superman (unless you play veteran) that seems to have ungodly aiming (at any difficulty) and you do not fight in any unit, its every man for himself. But, CoD is still extremely fun. BiA is the series for the realism enthusiast. it never sells as many games as CoD, because it appeals to a different audience. Even on casual difficulty, you have only marginally more health that your German counterparts. Aiming is difficult. However, you are still a superman, not physically but mentally. As long as you play smart, you and your squad can kill 10 times your number without losing a man. Being a story-driven FPS, you HAVE to be a superman...if you died constantly, you would not get anywhere. Only the online MP comes close to emulating realistic strategy. The environment, weapons, and skins can be super-realistic in any story-driven FPS, but, for realistic tactics and gaming, you have to play a Battlefield-type game, adjusted for realism and only ONLINE.
well...that may be the most disappointing one...but not for me See, in my case, i got allied assault first. 10/10 YAY! Then, i didn't get any MoH for a while. Only long after MoHA came out, i suddenly picked up Frontlines, Rising Sun, Heroes, and the newer European Assault. Compare things around, and the older games dont stand a chance. Got crappy graphics, stupid missions bordering on the insane. Only Pacific Assault (the only non-OSS game before Airborne) was anything close to a average representation of the war. I havent tried airborne yet, lost interest in the MoH cause. Im sure the more general audience like the other ones better. im just an enthusiast, i dont care if i die 20 times in BF2R (60 sec respawn time, 10 min walking or transport time), as long as it truly reflects realism.
I believe EA is mainly to blame for the failure of Airborne. With their stupid system of trying to play online and waiting a year and a day to release the first patch to correct several MP bugs that came with it.
I'm quite surprised that there aren't a post about this game . i think its one of the best ones . 1st-3rd person (3rd person sux imo but in this game its a cool feature ) So its about Operation Market Garden during WWII. You're still Sgt Matt Baker as in the previous BIAs. You can command fire teams and stuff like that , theres finding kilroys and recon points during the missions . I've completed the game twice and i have to say , the storyline is so exciting , it just is . You play as a platoon leader who is starting to lose his mind , seeing flashbacks and everything. Gameplay is pretty intense and the way you move your fireteams will come quite important . There are 2 new fireteams added , so in some missions you have a bazooka team or mg team . So the graphics are great , story is great , gameplay is pretty cool and i recommend the game That is good to hear a good review of this game. I actually have the game, yet have not played it because there are several other games which have grabbed my attention. The fireteam ability was something rare in a WWII game, and the cinematic qualities caught my attention. When I break free of Empire Total War I might have to give it a go.

Oh my, the satisfaction of commanding heavy firepower. A machine gun nest will stall up your entire squad, but, if you have a bazooka team, oh man, you can chip parts off a buildings and blow church towers apart! Not to mention your own machine guns mowing down the weak cover of the enemy.
