Just a quick opinion of members on the 2 games above.

im thinkin of buying a war based game 4 my pc. I dont normally play these kind of games (spend most of my little gamming time playin pro evolution soccer 4 with my son). However i do have the cossack title and medal of honor which i both like.

Heard good things bout both titles, but like to know which is best in terms of longevity and gameplay?

any thoughts would be much appreciated.

If you have MOH, you have an FPS already (play MOH:SH myself), so I'd go for Blitzkrieg (which is very nice too).

I've never played Blitzkrieg but I do know Call of Duty and I say don't buy that. Though the gameplay may be quite cool, and the graphics are definitely awesome, the whole thing is nothing but an ordinary shooter and it has nothing at all to do with WW2. Most of the levels you play are copied directly from WW2 war movies anyway.

Call of Duty is alright if you want a game with 0% replay value.

Bah, they both suck, but CoD sucks the mostest. I would go with Blitzkrieg, it can present interesting LAN situations if you play it with mates.

I say buy Call of Duty. The single player and multi player are very good.

I like COD and MOHAA as they are both very much fun. However have you tried Day of Defeat?

    http://www.dayofdefeatmod.com/

It's apparently much more realistic in that there are no sights and such

I also play the Steel Panthers series though I not as much as I used to as my email buddy has gotten bored of it. Maybe we should start up a gaming section for the likes of vassel, cyberboard and SP or other email based games.

Finally I have not played bliztkrieg but I find c&c clones fairly boring like sudden strike etc.

I am a great fun of C&C series (the Westwood ones! EA sucks!) and I strongly agree with you, but Blitzkrieg is an entirely diffenrent game! Their common specs are that they are both rts games and that's it. So I advise you to play it soon, especially the 2nd one (Blitzkrieg)!
