My father Pfc. William Wellington Taylor, Jr. went through basic training as a combat engineer at Camp Abbot, Oregon from Oct. 1943 to March 1944. I am very interested in hearing from anyone who was at Camp Abbot, or has any information. My dad wrote over 300 letters to home relating his experiences during WWII. 70 of these letters were written from Camp Abbot and give a detailed glimpse of day-to-day life there. These letters can be read at my new blog which honors my father's service to our great country. The address is: The World War II Letters of William Wellington Taylor, Jr. I look forward to hearing from you. Regards, Greg Taylor Los Angeles, California
