Looking at the first page of the aircraft forum (Jan 2, 2016, 0057 PST) fully 2/3 of the topics are click bait started by pampa14. This is getting ridiculous. He's using this site as free advertising for his site, and often, the information on his site is incorrect.
I appreciate the aggravation, but other than containing a bit more fluff that I prefer, I don't particularly find his links objectionable. pampa14 directly requested permission to post links, and I've agreed. It does appear he is posting a bit more often than normal, so I will investigate and if he has started to veer into spam activity I will treat his content as such. In the meantime if you don't like his site, just don't visit there.
For what it's worth I agree with Otto. The info there is "average quality" as to accuracy but some pictures are interesting. As long as it's transparent, we all know what to expect from a link from a pampa14 post by now, it doesn't really annoy me. It's up to the rest of us to dilute his posts with better quality materials.
The thing I find irritating is that he starts the threads with no intent on taking part in a conversation. He'd actually generate a lot more hits if he did so, so he's mostly hurting himself. If as some have stated there are copyright infringements on his site irritating people who know enough to complain about it doesn't seem like a good idea either but that's his karma.
I don't have a problem with it. We get some interesting information and photos, and if you're that upset about it, nobody's forcing you to click on his posts.
Eh, to each his own. Not hurting anybody, well except his reputation. Don't mind looking at the images, but to be honest, tend to steer away.
1. There is a "Users I'm Ignoring" Function here. Use it. Click on your name, top right corner and select Manage Ignore Prefs 2. I was spit and vinegar with him when he started. He was, very often, clearly using copyrighted images. Copyright is a big part of who I am. Zero tolerance here. Secondly he was not crediting sources. He communicates well via email or PM. It took one single communication from me to end copyright images and his not crediting sources: where possible. I see he has starting going in and repairing back "issues" too. - so I am off the bandwagon of banning him, probably for good as of now.
