Hi everyone ! First of all, excuse me if my english is not so good, but it's been years since I left school. My name's François ( but you can call me Franck ), I'm 47, live in Paris and my interest lies in the European Theater of Operations side of World War II. I was raised surrounded by WWII books. I spent my year of duty in the 2nd French Armoured Division ( which liberated Paris in 1944 ) and was naturally attracted to this great unit history, but my passion went to the US airborne divisions because of a single movie I saw when I was a kid : "The longuest day". Having won a WW2 jeep at a lottery in 1997, I bought a uniform and made my first step in the reenacting world. Dissapointed at some point, I decided to make my group dedicated to C Company 326th Airborne Engineer Batallion. Every year, during commemorations, we walk the battlefield ( Normandy, Holland, Belgium ) trying to figure out how things went. I underwent jump training using MC1-1C parachutes, earned my wings and to this day, I've made four commemorative jumps from a C47 ( one in Normandy, three in Holland ). I also have a small collection of WWII airborne related items and a slightly more important collection of WWII maps. I'm actually doing researches and I'm more precisely looking for contacts or testimonies from veterans of the Airborne Divisions that served on the E.T.O. And if, by any chance, they were former members of C/326 A.E.B., that would be great ! Blue skies ! Franck
