Don Lee Zwayer (1928 - 2007) TULSA, Okla. - Don Lee Zwayer, 78, Tulsa, died Tuesday, Oct. 30, 2007, following a lengthy illness. Born in Williams County, Ohio, on Nov. 14, 1928, he was the son of Clela May and William Sullivan Zwayer. He was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran of World War II, and received his industrial engineering degree from Tri-State University in Angola, Ind. Mr. Zwayer was employed with Seismograph Service Corp. of Tulsa, and worked on seismic crews in several states and in South America. In 1960 he moved to Tulsa, working with Seismograph Service as a mechanical engineer until his retirement. He was a longtime member of Asbury United Methodist Church in Tulsa. Surviving are his wife, Patricia (Allison) Zwayer; a son, Kent Zwayer; two daughters, Kenda (and husband, Ken) Diehm and Kelly Hahn; four grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Alice Marie Zwayer of Bryan, Ohio; a brother-in-law, Charles (and wife, Tim) Allison of Stryker, Ohio; and numerous nieces and nephews in Williams County, Ohio, and Rhode Island. A brother, Robert Zwayer, preceded him in death. Services were conducted Nov. 2 at the Asbury United Methodist Church chapel. Memorials may be made to the church or Saint Francis Hospice of Tulsa. A memorial service is to be conducted at Bryan at a later date. The Cremation Society of Oklahoma was in charge of arrangements.
