Workman Jr., 83 NOV. 7, 1925-FEB. 8, 2009 QUINCY, Pa. - Emory Erskin Workman Jr., 83, of Quincy Village, and formerly of Clear Spring, died Sunday, Feb. 8, 2009, at Quincy Village. Born Nov. 7, 1925, in Boone County, W.Va., he was the son of the late Emory Erskin Sr. and Helen Roach Workman. His wife, Gladys Wanda Milburn Workman, died in 2003. He was employed by Craig Paving of Hagerstown until he retired. He was a veteran of the U.S. Marines, serving in World War II. He was a member of Sharpsburg Bible Church. He was a member of Joseph C. Herbert Post 222 American Legion, Clear Spring. He is survived by one daughter, Sharon E. Helton of Miamisburg, Ohio; four sons, Dennis R. Waters of Hagerstown, Gary L. Waters of Trenton, Ohio, Robert H. Workman of Dallas and Emory E. Workman III of Zullinger, Pa.; one sister, Delores Buckley of Melbourne, Fla.; 13 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Lucille Kristanoff and Garnet Carter. Services will be Thursday at 2 p.m. at Osborne Funeral Home, Williamsport. Pastor Gene Renner will officiate. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Park, Williamsport. Military graveside services will be conducted by Morris Frock Post 42 American Legion, Hagerstown.
