Sorry to say I am going off F1 all these silly rules and regulations are causing the sport harm lets get back to real racing. But I shall watch the odd one.
Oh Gawd....it doesn't seem that long since I watched his Dad win his first F1 race at Silverstone... I suddenly feel ancient
"Ooohhh, but you surely were a mere nipper then, weren't you!??? Seriously..... ....Anybody any guess what the new Aguri team is going to do? 2 Japanese drivers and prospects that it will outdo the Minardi's of old?
Well, good luck to Alonso starting with a win again! And Good Old Schumi making it a great battle to watch. Kimi coming third from the 22nd spot, excellent. And Nico taking World Championship points in his first race, great going!
Looks like it´s Alonso vs Kimi. Ferrari looked good in the beginning but both cars out of the race last time. What I find interesting is Juan Pablo saying that Kimi is driving too aggressively against his team pal ( i.e. Juan Pablo ) in the first laps. Nobody said that to Ayrton Senna because they knew he would never let the team driver past him if it was up to him anyway. So I suggest you just answer back to Kimi the same way!
Briatore's Salute Monday, April 3rd, 2006 Another violation of political correctness was when the Italian team principal Flavio Briatore humorously gave a stiff armed salute to his German buddy at McLaren pits, Norbert Haug. According to witnesses, it didn't seem to bother Haug much and he made a joke out of it, but not all of Germany took it as well after the German tabloid Bild published the photographs. Later Briatore threatened to sue the paper in question but was also very apologetic and promised not to make such an error of judgement again. -------- “That's ridiculous!” Briatore fumed. “I was only waving to someone.” But daily tabloid Bild claimed that Briatore had even clicked his heels together and held his arm aloft for several seconds. “Flavio can sometimes be a clown and likes to have fun,” said a Renault spokeswoman. “The gesture was not at all politically motivated - it was neither malicious or racist.” http://uk.sports.yahoo.com/01042006/13/briatore-sue-german-tabloid.html I think Hitler himself might accept that salute...
Interesting to see this weekened whether Ferrari announces who their next year´s drivers are?! If Schumi does not continue then it starts to get tricky.
Seems like the only interesting thing to watch is whether Alonso makes a new record for points in one season....
Woking, Great Britain, Tuesday 11th July 2006: Team McLaren Mercedes and Juan Pablo Montoya have mutually agreed for him to step down in the forthcoming races of this year's Formula 1 World Championship. The team has decided that Pedro de la Rosa will join Kimi Raikkonen in the race driver line-up. Following his agreement with Chip Ganassi Racing for next year, Juan Pablo will also be making initial preparations for his debut in a Chrysler Dodge NASCAR. http://www.mclaren.com/mediaroom/information/pressreleases/juan_pablo.php
Jenson Button won! That is news! Alonso, Schumi, Räikkönen all out of the race and no points. Anyway, Schumi looking dangerously good for the latter part of the season.
I must admit this season was make or break with me as I was getting fed up. But this year has been very good, and well done Jenson let's see some more wins.
The break happened with me last season....I have not seen one race yet , but do think I missed quite an exhillarating (sp?) season?
If Schumi wins the championship this year he might retire..or not. But I don´t think Kimi Räikkönen could get to Ferrari if Schumi stays. That would be interesting to see though, Kimi and Ferrari. Also next year just gotta wonder if Alonso and Kimi could drive for Mclaren together...??
Looks like this season is going to be very interesting, it would be great if the last race was the decider.
Alonso quit the race and Schumi won so it´s two points between the two now! Anyway, the interesting thing was that Schumi is going to retire after the season and Kimi Räikkönen will join Ferrari with a three-year deal!! Congrats Kimi!
