Yep and P-47's too. he is taking a bit of text from the massive book on the unit, Little Friends, whcih was published nearly 10 years ago. Dang it, I wish I would of bought the book then. It probably is OOP now.

They both are high on my list of great aircraft. P-51 may stand out little better as a more apt a/c for fighter vs fighter handling alhtough there are many P-47 aces......

Yes, the P-51 is something else. Even now when I've seen these birds in the museum's they still strike me in awe. Imagine flying one to take on the Me 262.......

Im very fortunate that I get to see 2-3 flying around here in Corpus. Sometimes when im going to town while driving up Leopard Strasse, sometimes in the mornings, you can see the 2-3 Mustangs flying and in Vee formation.

There are at least 4 people around here that own Mustangs and one other that owns I think an FW-190.

Ive seen as many as 4 Mustangs flying around here in Corpus, and you woulf think they are advertising for an airshow--but--naa, we almost never have any airshows here--maybe oncet a year :( :(
