A nurse from Saskatchewan will become the first woman in history to have a Canadian ship named after her. Read about brave Margaret Brooke, who survived the 1942 torpedoing of the civilian ferry, the SS Caribou, on its way to Newfoundland.

Ah, Elinor. You keep unearthing Canadian tales from unlikely places. Please keep doing so, they are a pleasure to read.
