If you guys think I have some nice stuff, take a look at THIS stuff. Go to: Summer Vacation Militaria who will be offering one hell of a helmet collection (amoung other things) for sale on consignment. Most of the headgear is drool material ;-))

Thanks E. Also, if I had seen these offerings before the Generalmajor's boards, i'd have made a different kind of deal and would have gone for one of those DD M-35 Apple Green helmets that will be for sale.

Hi E, I almost bought a map case from him but that was at the time when I was working on that deal that snagged me that Close Combat Clasp in Silver. I think I made a much better investment ;-)) Now if I could only bag a CCC in Gold..............but I aint holdin' my breath on that one.

Hi Col, heh heh, I think you will have to sell your house in order to get that MG-42. I saw one for sale a few weeks ago on some site-can't remember which? which was fully functional and was priced at around a mere $50,000-and did not have all the extras like the one @ svmil.

Hi E, yup, and im surprised the price was not even higher on the one I saw. You would be very lucky to get say an MP 38/40, for under $15 grand. Walther P-38's are fast approaching the $1 thousand mark.

No, probably my car;) But that seems high. Then again it depends probably what State you're from along with condition, bring back papers and accessories but 50K, that seems high. Some of those auction sites are riduculously high I used to get mail from one in the southwest can't remember the name, Manions? but that's good news the markets down but my militaria's up;):D

Wow, that's quite a collection! I saw an MG 42 on my recent trip to Florida, when I asked if there was a price tag on that, the guy just laughed and told me it had taken him years to find one that worked he wouldn't sell it for a million bucks! I guess he actually takes it out and shoots it!! way cool!

Manions is crock go buy the Mg 34 or 42 at a local gun show, they are there.....have seen them, an auction house would not be wise even if they claim reputability

Yukkkkkk, you mentioned the "M" word. That guy not only is a jerk and very hard to deal with but the prices on everything is wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy too high. I thought some years ago, of buying a few of his items of interest, and damned glad I did not. Reason being is, what he had I was interested in-I not only found another example of the items, but also in much better condition and for a much lower price.

Whatever you do, stay away from this guy as he is nothing but another Sharkhunter; if you catch my drift? No puns intended.

PS, Mods, if I broke somekind of a rule with this posting--sorry and please remove it, if you think it will cause legal problems? Im merely speaking from a collectors point of view and only expressing my own opinions because of past experiances in dealing with that person I dealt with.

Geez, I just said I got the catalog, I never bought anything from him. All my stuff is from estate sales, yard sales, flea markets, church sales and referrals.:)

No, only if you buy full automatic weapons. You will need a Federal license to own those. I am speaking only about the US, other countries have different laws.

You may need to find someone with a FFL licence for the shipping. Pretty easy to arrange with a local firearms dealer. Than again it may just be my state
