    SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. - Harold K. Ferguson, 90, of Shippensburg, died Monday, Jan. 26, 2009, at Chambersburg (Pa.) Hospital.


    He was the son of the late William Ferguson and Nettie Miller Ferguson.

    He retired from Letterkenny Army Depot, where he was an inventory control specialist.


    He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Army.


    He was a member of Mainsville United Brethren Church.


    He is survived by his wife, Janet M. Hoover Ferguson, whom he married in 1944; one daughter, Cheryl Zygmunt of Chambersburg; one sister, Vera Hanscom of Bedford, Pa.; one granddaughter; three great-grandchildren; nieces; and nephews.


    He was preceded in death by five sisters, Devona Cohen, Lavon Harclerode, Lucy Ferguson, Ethel Mowery and an infant; and three brothers, Clarence Ferguson, Donald Ferguson and Roy Ferguson.


    A memorial service will be Thursday at 1 p.m. at Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, Chambersburg. The Rev. Robert Mentzer will officiate. Burial will follow in Parklawns Memorial Gardens.


    The family will receive friends Thursday from noon to 1 p.m. at the funeral home.


    In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Mainsville United Brethren Church, 1354 Mainsville Road, Shippensburg, PA 17257.
