Ok guys and gals, this is most likely the equivalent of searching for a needle in a haystack, but I'm gonna try anyway. I remember in the late 1980s/early 1990s I bought a ww2 novel at a used bookstore here in the States. It had a front view of a P-38 Lightning among the clouds on the cover but I cannot for the life of me remember the title or author. I'd like to find this book again if I can as I sold it back years ago for whatever reason. Could anyone provide any help? I also seem to remember it being about the air war in Europe, and the main character guy meeting a pretty girl on the ship across the Atlantic, but that's about it. I doubt I'll be able to find this old novel again...but who knows, maybe I will get lucky. Thanks in advance...

    Hey Slipdigit,

No, the names escape me as this was at least 18 years ago that I had this. Hell, the book may have been published earlier than the 1980s, I just found it in a used bookstore at the time.
