Where to start? Well, I am interested in WWII history. I am a U.S. Army Veteran as was my father. My youngest son is an officer in the 5th Stryker Brigade, located at Fort Lewis, WA.

My father landed in Normandy about 6 weeks after D-Day and was a part of the XXII Corps Headquarters. Near the end of the war he served as a clerk in General Patton's Headquarters, located in Bad Tolz. My father was present for Patton's farewell address to 3rd Army. We have quite a few photos. The history of my fathers service and the units he served with are of interest to me. I must tell you, it is tough to get WWII veterans to discuss their experiences during the war.

As a LT I served 3 years in a data center located in the Pentagon. After that, I served in Heidelberg, FRG, for three years. I started out as the XO of the 519th Trans Co. The remaining 2 1/2 years I was a manager in the Data Processing Division of 1st Perscom. The remainder of my career was spent as a civilian in the computer industry.

Genealogy is my favorite hobby. Members of our family served in the North Carolina militia before and during the Revolutionary War as well as the U.S. Civil War. We have a few photos from the Civil War period.

Today, I work for a big box home improvement store. In addition, my wife and I own a retail hobby store. We carry a wide variety of military models as a part of our inventory.

Boy it's tough getting old...tend to forget things!

My father-in-law was also a WWII U.S. Army veteran. He served as a Page at the Japanese War Crimes trials. His photo album has a lot of photos of Tojo and the court room proceedings. In time, I will publish a few of the more interesting photos.
